Safety First…

There are a number of steps you can do to protect yourself during the installation.

  • Wear safety goggles to prevent eye injury
  • Wear work gloves to prevent cuts
  • Wear long pants and a long sleeve shirt to prevent cut and scratches
  • Keep your work area clean to avoid falling or tripping
  • Use a secure step ladder
  • Do not use power tools around water

 Be sure to follow all safety precautions when installing your new patio cover.

The Basic Tools Needed

Chop Saw Safety Goggles Cordless or Variable Speed Drill Pencils
Square Drill bits (1/8”, 5/16” and 1/4” Drivers) Level Tape Measure
 
Tin snips Caulking gun Step Ladder  

NOTE: Depending on your house, you may also need concrete bits (not provided).  The size of bits should correspond to the type of fasteners you use. You may need an adjustable wrench or a set of sockets.
